I did the installation at the same time that I was building the tunnel so I put in the hard points in the right tunnel wall before installing it. Also I had the advantage of working with the rear windows still out. It was still pretty tight, it would be much harder to do in a finished airplane. One thing that I did that may help you is to make the left wall of the tunnel removable. The roll servo would be a much easier retrofit. Plenty of access and all you might have to do is to move some stuff around under the right seat. The pitch servo will be a difficult retrofit. You might want to consider buying just the pitch servo and get it installed now and wait to do the roll servo untill you're ready. > 1) Are the pitch and roll servos geometrically identical? Can I use a > single servo to get the mounting worked out in both axes? No and no. The actual servo mechanism looks to be the same or at least very similar but the roll servo is fitted with a wheel to attach a push rod while the pitch servo has a capstain for a cable. The mounts are considerably different too. Hope this helps.
