I'm about to build my subfloor and install the adjustable rudder pedal assembly.  Unfortunately, I don't have my seats in yet, so I can't sit down and put my feet on the pedals to verify that I have them properly located side-to-side.

Can I assume that a fore-aft line perpendicular to the firewall (also perpendicular to the front face of the front spar) that goes thru the control stick gives the proper side-to-side location?  Or do I really have to install the seats before I'm sure?
