I have been looking to purchase a 4P Turbine. So, I started digging and
calling. Now I have the crap scared out of me. Please if anyone can clear up
a few things.
Seems that there is some big issues about insurance and also, plenty chatter
about fuel systems.
So I did some more digging, and more calling.

Is this not the sixth Turbine Lancair to go down in a year?

The Georgia plane that ran out of fuel with 100 gals on board.
One in the central states that lost power on take off and ran off the end of
the runway, (I have not figured out what the cause of this one is as yet).
The Lancair that crashed into the lake at night killing three people, don't
know if it was pilot or fuel system.
Turbine down in Mc Alaster TX killing two.
Turbine in Utah that had an engine out and was unable to restart, over ran
the runway damaging the aircraft, fortunately the pilot did a good job and
everyone survived.
Last weak in Portland with three fatalities.

Now here is my question,

According to one guy that I spoke to, all of these planes had the Lancair
factory firewall forward installation. Is this correct?
Would that not mean that they had the Lancair fuel system?
(Sorry, seems I am asking 2 questions).

One guy told me to go to flightaware.com and do some research on Lancair
4's.

It took a while, but I found one that seems to fly quite a bit with
incredibly long legs.
I actually put an alert on my email and flight aware sends me an email every
time this guy files a flight plan.
Then I take a look at the performance, and it seems incredible. It is
consistently fast. Very fast in fact.
But the name of the owner, (Toys for Boys), what the heck is that?
Anyway, N213JC can anyone help me with that?

At this point, I don't see myself purchasing a plane anytime soon. At least
until I can understand better
what is causing all these accidents.
