In the early days :).. That is before the pinpoint and while at build
assist. Lancair was recommending an "AHRS"shelf. Specific instructions was
26" aft of the baggage bulkhead.

To make it, you laid up 6 or 8 bid on the edge of a 2x4 to make an L bracket
of enough length to support both sides of the shelf. Then you cut to
length, drilled and blind nutted the angle brackets that you had made and
bonded them in with the shelf attached and clear tape providing a release
for the shelf.

In this way, it can be completely removed. While this was to be the AHRS
shelf for a 42X AHRS, it now will become the mounting for the MSU in my
legacy.
