Hello,
There is a new Legacy at our field (Princeton Airport, NJ) and we've had an annoying and recurring problem since day one. The passenger side brake was spongy when we got the Legacy initially. We tried to bleed the brakes from the bottom-up (using a pressurized bleeder, manual pump type) and also from the top-down. The brakes would feel ok once we bled the system but....once we take-off and retract the gear, the brakes go down to the floor!!!
Pumping the passenger side brakes would fix the problem and we would land normally. Brakes are fine during taxi after pumping the brakes in the air. We are out of ideas on what the problem could be. It would seem that we lose all brake effectiveness once we retract the gear and re-gain the brakes again once it's pumped a few times.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
