I’m interested in your recommendations as to quick release hardware (camlock?) you would recommend for fastening the carbon cowlings on an IVP.

I’ve ordered numerous items from Aircraft Spruce and none of them are quite right.

I would prefer something in stainless that would take a Phillips screw driver.

Please feel free to include part numbers and manufacturers, etc.

If I were doing it again, so on my next Lancair project, I would most likely use Fairchild "Livelocks" to secure the cowl.  They are flush mounted, compact, easy to use and expensive, although they are not operated with a screw driver. 

Information on them should be available in the LML archives, as the subject has been previously discussed.
