Cleveland center controls a large chunk of = Canadian airspace south of YXU due to the JFK - ORD corridor. That is probly why you were not handed = off to the Canadian Controllers. Likewise Canada controls U.S. airspce in the = vicinity of SAult Saint Marie in Northern Michigan as The Canadians have better = radar coverage in that area.
