Colyn, etal, Ok, more data. Attached is a pic of my 496 showing Nexrad WX in Alberta >300nm north of the US boarder (ref pic #1019). So, it seems it does have Canadian Nextrad beyond that captured by northern US antenna sites. How much coverage Canada has itself is unknown to me. I believe there are some selective holes in the US coverage out west due to terrain. I suspect the same exists in Canada, especially as you go further North. Also, FYI pic #1008 shows a Metar for London Ontario Canada (so Canadian Metars are included as I said before). You might note in this photo, that the US airports don't yet have metars (triangle shaped flags). The Canadians ones seem to load a minute or two before the US ones in the XM data cycle (Michigan is on the left side, Canada on the right). _____ From: Lancair Mailing List [mailto:lml@lancaironline.net] On Behalf Of Colyn Case on earthlink You do get a little bit of canada covered by american sites. I would expect the canadian radar coverage reaches much deeper into canada. Do you get returns from more than 100 miles across the border
