Last year's fly in we did in fact have a show of hands as to whether our participants wanted to have a fly in each year or every two years. The show of hands definitely supported our having a fly in every year. The tradition continues.....with slight modification. My managers re-visited this issue during several meetings this year. It was decided that we could branch out and possibly satisfy many more Lancair customers and potential customers by going to a different venue such as Fredericksburg, Texas. Nothing more sinister than that. Fredericksburg is a beautiful city that offers many amenities not necessarily available in Redmond. We thought it would be a welcome change of pace for our customers. I did take seriously the input of our customers when they responded that they wanted a company sponsored fly in, however I did not mean to suggest that we were bound to Redmond...in fact, the thought of having the fly in somewhere other than Redmond never crossed my mind during that weekend of the fly in. I am hoping that many more of our customers will show up, we will see many old and many new faces there and that our customers will continue to enjoy the hospitality and companionship that Lancair continues to offer. While Lancair continues to investigate possible relocation sites, there are no current plans to move from its current location. Joseph C.
