A couple of years ago I was at an EAA group hangar in Windsor, Ontario where several people were scratch building several Bearcats. Being an auto town they have more than their share of machinists and tool and die makers so the had even made dies for their wing ribs. One of the many ideas for metal working rigs I got from them was using a regular router to put in lightening holes in aluminum parts. It would work just as well to do panel cut outs.
