To All LML Readers.....
It would be good to see a spirited and constructive discussion of the above
subject. There are plenty of LNC2 builders/fliers and experienced General
Aviation People amongst us who can share some important information on the
above subject. It would be of interest to get a thread going concerning
the operations of L235, L290, L320 and L360 engines with fixed or variable
pitch props.
It would be of benefit to read comments about the different types of props
being flown. This discussion should include both 2 and 3 blade props
including wooden, metal, composite and FAA certified. Hopefully, the
contributors could include the different length props which have contacted
the ground and what precipitated those ground contacts. The take off run
consideration, climb and cruise differences could be aired here as well.
Flying a prop with cut off blades. The hazards of flying props which
should be in the scrap bin. Most of the comments, which would generate
spirited and informed contributions, would serve to focus the LNC2 builders
on those propellors most suitable and safe for their machine. Hopefully,
your comments would also clear-up the reasons why some propellors are safe
or unsafe for the LNC2.
Lets see if we can get something going here for the benefit of us all and
those who follow us.
