Bob...

You will definitely have a problem with the dust cover on the windshield. More
importantly you will have a big problem with the defroster duct.  Towards the
top (which goes pretty high on the fuselage anyway) you could have a problem
with the overhead duct.  I personally would leave the windshield alone. It
is a
big open windshield and when you are flying there are no dead spots.

As to the side windows, yes, they could be made a little bigger, but I don't
know as it would be much advantage.
Be careful with the door window (which is smaller than the passenger side) or
you will have trouble fitting the inside frames around the window. It is
pretty
tight already. When you are flying you never see the edges of this window
because you are right next to it.

Just my $.02 worth.

With regards to flying left seat vs right seat.  I also thought it might be
awkward with my left hand in the left seat. It was not. It has become very
natural. When we flew those "yoke" airplanes we flew with our left hand more
than we realized, operating other controls like throttle, radio, flaps, etc.
with our right hands. The left side stick is a joy to fly. Just wrist motion.
If I were to change anything, it would be to make the stick a little longer. I
constantly find my hand creeping up to the top of the stick.
