I agree that such a small thickness may let the disc rotate, and it might be a real problem. In my own case, I used a standard plug, EL-6B, if I remember correctly, and it was about 5/8 or 3/4 long, and so its placement at the ass end of the cylinder presents no problem for dislodging and turning. It is in my plan to remove it and thin it up a bit after I see what effects it has had, but I know it will not be thin enough to jump around in the cavity. I think 3/8 or 7/16 will be the minimum. Whether you put it on the ass end of the plunger or slip it over the shaft depends on your initial adjustment of your system. In my case, all the push tubes were adjusted in accordance with the manual, which says to completely extend the shaft of the cylinder and then drill the attachement hole. Mine need the spacer at the ass end of the cylinder. In any event, you should check the throw of the newly adjusted cylinder with it disconnected to make sure you have it within the swing of the arc of the flap bracket. I have had an email from Lance regarding this, and he says the factory is coming out with an official SB and a retrofit kit-maybe the kit will have spacers of different thicknesses.
