Posted for "Kevin Stallard" <Kevin@arilabs.net>:
When I do my micro switches/position switches for flaps, gear, etc., I
want to experiment with hall effect switches. Their orientation
apparently affects their accuracy. I have not experimented with them
yet, but plan on building a bench setup with them to see how they might
work.
They should avoid the mechanical problems of your switch, but it's the
accuracy aspect of them that I don't know anything about however....
Thanks

Each time that I have experienced this problem I have replaced the
limit
switch with a new one. I even carry spares along with the tools it
takes to
get to the assembly in case I have the problem away from home (which has
been
the case two of the three times it has happened).
