If someone has digitized the printed Legacy POH, for example, they can make their "starting point" copy available on this list. John Schroeder did that for us ES guys. Just like the factory POH, we all have noodled through John's version and made intelligent decisions on what to change, most often with the help of Ron Galbraith or another HPAT guru. Ron's suggestion that you do things in an order that you are familiar with makes sense since we all have flown other birds in the past. Certainly, you don't want to do something the "old way" if it jeopardizes the integrity of the checklist, but if it's an item that could be put in a couple different places, why not put it where you have the least chance of skipping it. I should also mention that Joe B. has officially said we should use the Lancair POH as a starting point, as far as I know Lancair doesn't make the POHs available in digital format. Both the Columbia and Cirrus POHs are available on their web sites in PDF format. I have a copy of the new ES builders manual in PDF format, so maybe it's time to get the POHs online for the pilots to edit.
