As I read this the spacer would be at the end of the cylinder without the rod. Very bad idea!! The spacer is not thick enough to ensure that it cannot turn sideways and present it's diameter, instead of it's thickness, to the piston! If a spacer is used it MUST be installed in the shaft end of the cylinder to ensure alignment. Compliments of the season.
