Though there isn't one on the B-757 that I fly, I'd sure like to see one there too.< The AOA vane found on the B-757 and other transport category aircraft runs about $4,000 each side and that does not include the electronics and software. The B-757 does show some minimul AOA information (coolie hat) but not much. American Airlines will be getting raw AOA information to the pilots on some of their aircraft soon I'm told. The simple A/C Spruce and Speciality stall warning tab and buzzer for experimentals sells for $1,200. There is an AOA for Lancairs that is relatively inexpensive considering the above. $890 will get you the AOA Sport which has more resolution than the heads up indexer used by the Marines and Navail Aviators. It includes aural voice warnings and everything needed for installation except labor. See www.angleofattack.com for more information. The experimetal movement is leading the pack in aircraft performance and inovation, including affordable AOA instrumentation. BTW, I just saw a twin jet experimental that looks similar to a Citation. It is amazing what gets done when the government stays out of the way.
