Yes, I still plan to build nose and main outboard gear links. Good
things come to those who wait, right? In any case I'm contemplating a
slight change to the original design. I've never been impressed with the V3
type micro switches Lancair provides. Consequently I plan to integrate a
5mm solid state prox switch into the new design of both the nose and main
links. No moving parts in the switch, totally sealed, way more reliable,
and even has an LED for easy adjustment. These links will be 4140 steel,
nickel plated, and yes, the nose link will have a rod end. I haven't
determined a pricing yet so that's where you (the 235/320/360 builders and
owners) come into play. Once I've tooled our CNC for these parts, it really
doesn't cost a lot more to make 50 sets versus 5 sets. It will make a BIG
difference in price per set. If you are interested in a set of these links,
send me an e-mail. In a couple weeks, when I have a good estimate for
quantity, I'll release a price. Production to be in mid to late January.
