List members are always asking about linear actuators and servos to open
doors, turn on valves, etc. All electronics
( http://www.allelectronics.com/ ), a surplus outfit, always has a bunch of
unused small actuators of various types.Some of these are of very high
quality and would be expensive if ordered for their original purpose.These
change from month to month, but it is worth looking if you need one for some
purpose. Some are geared and some are solenoids.
