Paul,
In case you have been reading but not paying attention, I always jump
to the "defense" of anyone who is unfairly attacked in a thread that I
am involved in. No, I do not read every post in every thread, but the
ones I do follow, I get involved if someone is attacking someone
without basis, as was the case here. In the midsts of an analysis of
market forces that shape the GA/Homebuilt industry, John Halle spun up
conspiracy theories about the demise of D2A, then not only blamed Brent
for suggesting them but launched a personal attack for his supposedly
making that suggestion. That is what I pointed out. I would strongly
recommend that you go back and read all the e-mails in question.
Reading them a second time after a little passage of time may allow you
to pick up details that may have been missed in the first reading,
especially in context of what you have written about it.
While my long standing affiliation with Chelton, which I have never
made a secret of, may skew my perspective, it has not affected my
reading comprehension or my logic. I am quite tolerant of other views,
as long as they are stated in a comprehensible manner, are at least
plausibly based in reality and draw conclusions that at least loosely
follow some logic. I also know that I have to make allowance for the
fact that for every individual, reality is what they have experienced.
If your crossbow 425 (I know you, Paul, have a 500) has always been
stable, I can understand that to you the guy complaining about his 425
is most probably a nameless faceless drama queen looking for attention
or worse yet, a figment of someone's imagination at D2AV. But to me,
he may be very real -- someone that I looked in the eye as he reported
his near death experience and whose flight data I personally saw. I
hope that that allowance will flow both ways.
Regards,
Hamid

So Hamid: Is Brent your "Daddy"?? Seems if anyone questions
his point of view, a point of view that is admittedly bias as a result
of 10 years of association with Chelton, well you are right there with
a heated counter attack. I would observe there is enough uncertainty
in the D2A situation to make room for multiple points of view.
Additionally, I found no:
Ad hominem, ad nauseum
in John's observations, but rather an insightful analysis of the
forces that shape all markets, and certainly GA/Homebuilt aviation. So
Brent/Hamid given you are tied to Chelton's coattails maybe you could
be more tolerant of points of views that are less revenue driven.
Paul, N94PT with a Chelton system and X-bow 500, already
installed, thankfully.
