Did your battery just run out of power or did it actually short? I'm just wondering how paranoid to be about isolating the batteries = so I can take them completely out of the system. One battery....hmmmmm. I may be wrong but alternators need a = small=20 electrical current to excite the field. I had a one battery, two=20 alternator system until the one battery went south. Not fun... =
