Well, I have friend who had TCM's tuned injectors in a new Platinum engine
in his C-185. He sent FOUR sets of nozzels back insisting that he get a
balanced set. They returned four sets to him over about six months. Not one
set was close to acceptable and they wouldn't/couldn't tweak a single nozzle
(although they claim they can), only replace the entire set. After a lot of
cost and frustration, he finally gave up and bought GAMIjectors saying, "If
I'd not been so bullheaded, it would have cost me half as much in the long
run."
That was his experience.
I've seen a few sets of TCM balanced injectors on an IO-520 Bx or IO-550 BB
which were actually "acceptable", but not many. They do get pretty fair
results on the IO-550N more often.
The TSIO550E is not a particularly easy engine to balance. Good luck
getting TCM nozzels balanced. It's likely to take some luck.
