These hours do not include firewall forward installation, electrical, paint or upholstery. In reality anything under 5000 hours for a IV-P is a "rush job".=20 =20 Can I get builder assistance? Yes. Lancair offers a builder assist program for all our aircraft. This program varies for each model. The customer spends 1, 2 or up to 10 weeks with us and will start building their own Lancair. We offer technical assistance and guidance during this build time. We expect to see customers finish their Lancair Legacy Fixed Gear in as little as 10 weeks. The Lancair ES/ES-P/IV/IV-P/Propjet in 26 weeks or less. The cost for the builder assist program is $4,000.00 per week. 26 weeks or less?? I wonder why it took us over 5 years then ? Lancair could do themselves a favour by telling the truth to potential customers. Caveat Emptor. Allan Saul / ZU-IVP / Lancair IV-P / South Africa
