The seams and joints are soldered together and are about 3/8" x 4". I am sure these can also be purchased. These screens only trap LARGE particles and cannot be cleaned (the reason why they are so large in area) - remember that the tank filler openings are larger than the screen openings but smaller than a bread box. The individual lines from the wings to the selector can be filtered to protect the selector and/or a fine Andair filter/gascolator can be provided before the pump(s). If the setup is for an injected engine, there is another fine filter in the throttle body to protect the injectors.
