Firefighters and EMT watching his practice pulled him from the wreckage and rushed him to a local hospital. Chuck lived in St. Louis for many years where he worked for McDonnell Douglas and later worked for Jim Bede on the BD 10 project. For the last three years he has been a team member at Scaled Composites. Chuck built three early IVP's.
