No additional changes were needed.  Perhaps the initial rigging was correct and somehow got misadjusted later in the build.  So the movement that we made just corrected it!

Robert -

What did all this shortening of the crossover tube and re-setting the right
stick do to your aileron rigging? ie. What other adjustments did you have
to make?

I just addressed this issue last week before departing on my first long
(1,000 nm) cross country flight.  My right stick was fine but the left
one hit the fuselage.  Instead of cutting and rewelding it we adjusted
the crossover shorter to cant both sticks inward, and then adjusted just
the right stick back to where is was.  Bingo - both sticks clear and it
took less than an hour. Robert M. Simon
