Additionally, it helps to cut part way through the tubing at the level where it passes through the armrest then bend the stick to an inward cant about 5 degrees and reweld. That way there is less tendency for the stick to impinge on the aircraft sidewall. John Barrett. We are installing the Infinity stick grips in our IV-P and it appears that the sticks need to be shortened in order to provide a comfortable gripping height - even after adding foam to the arm rest. My measurements indicate that cutting off 1" to 1-1/2" from the top of the stick appears to be in order.
