I shall avoid the perils of mendacity (with a nod to Scott Krueger) and admit that I just could not get it done in time. A leaky check valve and improper use of the pre-oiler kept flooding the turbos with oil, which both smoked upon being exhausted and blew through the third intercooler and into the cabin. This now seems to be fixed. The A/C is a work in progress and as of last week is 50% operational and finally suitable for flight. The Ryan TCAD, Stormscope, and WSI are not tested and so are unknowns, whereas the Chelton/Crossbow 425 WAS tested and spun like Patty Wagstaff. Direct-to says to expect the Pinpoint GADAHRS shortly. Pressurization was tested and after work on the door seal and a bit of goop elsewhere held to 7 psi. All that remains is flying off the hours and I expect to do that during the next two weeks - 10 circuits following the Oregon state border should do it. Then it's down to Las Cruces for an interior and hopefully back to Redmond for the Labor Day fete and an official coming out party.=20 See y'all there! Robert M.
