 HIGHLY recommend to send the strut back to Lancair to have it rebuilt.
 You may have a torn o-ring which is proving to be a common failure.  We
 have been using 30 wt motorcycle fork oil.
 
 Strongly consider grounding the plane until the strut has been
 repaired.
