To significantly improve visibility in the vicinity of the airport, I retrofitted wingtip landing lights on my 360 that can be turned on 10 miles out as opposed to the gear mounted lights that come on only in the pattern.  The installation took about 2 days.  I also installed a wig-wag flasher.  Now my plane is much more visible.
