I have been chasing my nose gear door gremlins for 2 years now.  I am at the stage where I am serisuly considering removing this door as it is just a pain in the a$%#..who needs it anyway?

Can only answer part of your question, whcih is why does the pressure rise. I have expereinced this phenomenon in flight going from the cooler southern climate to the hot northern climate. i have observed the high pressure guage rise in stages with no pum blip. Thus I conclude it must be thermalk expansion of hydraulic fluids. The rest I leave to those infinitely more qualified then I.

One more thing however, have you checked your spool valve orientation? I found this corrected my problems for a long time but they have now recurred.
