They were real good about it and agreed to the return due to my previously requested cancellation of the order. As a "new builder" (6 months into my project), I was hoping for as much input on this issue as possible. I had several personal responses and appreciated those responding as it had impact on my decision to NOT decide now. Also, in talking with Bill Maddox I felt comfortable waiting for his pending new product. I am sure I am not the only IV builder still open on speed brakes and would hope this topic could be discussed openly on the LML. Any builders still undecided on speed brakes would greatly benefit from direct responses to the LML on this most recent post. As a final note, I guess if someone has further input on this issue that feels uncomfortable posting it, I would greatly appreciate their comments. Tom Sullivan The Yuper (Upper MI.) [In speaking with Bill Maddox about Theo's problem I learned that Theo's speedbrakes were actually set #1 that SAS ever sold, and that the software in that original controller had been completely replaced in later revisions of the product. I haven't heard any reports of additional problems with Bill's brakes, and can say that the ones in Tony Durizzi's LIV-P worked just fine during a short ride I managed to enjoy a few months back. Bill's new speedbrakes will be incorporating a completely different drive and control system from those which were produced by SAS, and will be pretty bullet-proof if everything works out according to plan. One day soon I'm sure that Bill will be announcing the availability of the new product here, and anyone wishing additional info about the new brakes can contact him at billmaddox@speedbrakes.com or 888-460-6611. I hope this helps, and further user comments are welcome and invited. ] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html
