This discussion has been worthwhile no matter which side of the issue you are on. Folks out there building or flying, high flight time or low timers read and are reminded of the need for good judgement. So, I don't think this subject is ever a "dead horse." Lynn Farnsworth seems to have a good perspective on the issue. At any rate, use good judgement, know your limits and the limits of your airplane and don't exceed the limits of either of them, and have fun with the airplane. George Shattuck
