your mixing cup on it is available for about $100.00 or so.  I keep a sheet
of 1 mil plastic over mine to keep the dribbles off and dispense the resin
and hardener from about 10 oz sealable Rubbermade ketchup dispensers.

Actually... I was searching on Google.com for some information on related
topics, and I found some achieve discussions on a Cozy board that Gary
Hunter participated in a while back. The methodology he indicated he prefers
is exactly what you describe above. Now I am checking out the electronic
scales. Also, keeping the resin & hardener in the type of polyethylene
dispensers you are using helps minimize some of the chemical reaction
problems you did not mention that tend to be more prevalent with pumps.
