I have a UPSAT CNX80/Garmin GNS480.  If it's WAAS capable, and certified for primary navigation, does that mean it's the same thing as "ground based"?

 

The WAAS correction signal is transmitted from the ground to the satellites, so that makes my GPS ground based????  Hee Hee
