I have my induction inlet within 1 inch right below the prop spinner. Its 4.5" diameter which slowly tapers down to 2.3125" for the front mounted fuel injection servo inlet. At 11,500 ft I still have 20" manifold pressure. The charts in the Lycoming manual don't even go that far. It sure looks like about 2" M.P. gain to me...... Have you ever seen the front of Sean Tuckers cowling on his black biplane ???? his looks like he put a 6" funnel on it ! it works
