Craig: Please educate me here: Are you considering the rotor mod
in lieu of
the L-IV brake upgrade kit that Lancair sells? If so, would
you add the

Bill, my kit came with the high energy brakes. I am considering this
in addition to the high energy brakes. I anticipate it will reduce rotor
warpage and quite honestly, improve sex appeal. It is difficult to
keep solid rotors running true if brake demands are high. Stopping a 3500 lb
vehicle with a 7.5" diameter rotor is a difficult task at best. Oh, it also
saves 3 oz's per side. <g>
