Ive built a 320 and legacy,was the original test pilot on the IV, ES and turbine IV and am approved by most insurance companies. As to the suggestion that lancair cover this expense My only relationship with lancair is as a customer and to occasionally steel a race prop at reno. While I dont know how this requirement came to be if you saw some of the examples of building you would realize the huge differences in the quality of construction that are out there. I think lancair just wants the safest planes possible. dave
