On the IV and ES doors there are two identical 3-contact blocks - one on the door and one on the fuselage. They are located on the rear part of the top door flange such that when the door is closed, each contact comes in contact with the contact opposit its position and completes an electrical circuit. Both contacts the pair are springloaded to keep the contact when the door is closed. The use for these is to control the door seal pump.
