Than why does the FAA say that Carl could not have built his Epic in 8 months? Seems like they are treating Carl different.

Yes, I built my Legacy FG in four sessions totaling 10 weeks. Firewall
forward and avionics were done by Lancair. Of the three flying FGs two were
completed at Lancair. The third went through 2 weeks at Lancair and was
finished at home in less time than mine by a builder with LNC4 construction
experience.
