My thanks to Hollis for the response to my question about the outback gear
and the orientation of the leg weldment and clearance. I reversed my main
gear tonight and what seemed to be a problem with clearance and an
inevitable removal of gear door core material turned into a perfect fitting
main gear into the wing stub. I can now contemplate other exciting chores
and continue on with the project. Again......thank you Hollis

He said he reversed the
installation in order to take advantage of the gear leg being able to go
higher into the wheel well (and therefore improving wheel clearance) than
if it had been done the other way. I've done mine the same as Orin. Seems
to fit fine.
