This is EXACTLY the kind of feedback that makes this list so valuable!  I have a hard enough time learning from my own mistakes, so I really appreciate the opportunity to learn from everyone else's <G>.

Opinion has been unanimous in both the public and private responses to my query.  So I'll flip the airplane without the tail, fill and prime the bottom, flip it back upright, install the tail, then fill/prime the fuselage-to-tail fillet with the aircraft upright.
