Gary,

I know that Tim was recommending that the upper rear bulkhead at the aft end of the baggage compartment (on an ES) be secured with more than 4 or 5 screws.  He was recommending that the builder create a continuous 4 BID or so flange around the half circle and secure it with 8-10 screws.

I had already done the rear bulkhead so I didn't redo the flange and nutplates.  I ended up reinforcing the layups on the seams, more BIDs and wider BIDs.

There was also an SB that came out about the structural nature of the rear access panel.  Some people were putting hinges on it, remote releases, etc. and Lancair was saying that was a bad idea.  My kit came with #6 screws to secure the panel.  I think they may have changed the new kits to #8 screws.  Tim told me we didn't need to upgrade our ES screws to #8, #6 would be fine.
