Getting his Legacy down without a "scratch or bruise" is testamony that with training we all can survive a crisis in these high performance planes. I echo Brent Regan's thoughts that Don shouldn't jump to "permanent decesions" while his "spirit is traumatized". I am speaking from experience having been traumatized in a IV-P. I had many many sleepless nights regarding my flight from the Middle East in a IV-P (some times I still do). That experience has made me a much more concientious builder and pilot. After reading about Lancair's Legacy fatal crash, and the remarks of one individual who is not going to pursue his dream of building a Legacy, I can only hope that those who are or who are going to build one of these fantastic machines will learn from this.....training, training and more training.
