I have been part of the Lancair "family" ever since I traveled to Redmond to go through the ES workshop. I remember hanging out with Grant Bailey and when I heard of his fatal crack it shook me to the core. I also had several conversations with Kevin. It's such a tragedy to lose quality people, members of our extended Lancair family. The seemingly endless stream of fatal crashes (which we all get to hear about through the LML) are really a challenge for me, to get out and fly, to enjoy the flying experience. I try to put it out of my mind, but the thought of potential death every time I start down the runway is hard to shake.
