I never forget to transfer fuel to the header tank.  I just forget to shut transfer pumps off.  Not indefinately, but usually long enough to stain the bottom of the aircraft.  " Ah #@&%$*+!!!", say I, or some similar expletive.

The vast majority of you have never done this, but there may be another soul out there who experiences the occassional "senior moment".  Take heart.  I found the solution - the Vibralite3 watch from Global Assitive Devices.  When the alarm goes off it VIBRATES.  (No wise cracks)  It was designed for the sight-impaired, (Again, no wise cracks), but is perfect for a noisy cockpit.  When I flip the transfer pumps on, I start the count down timer. Four minutes later, the vibrating on my wrist reminds to turn 'em off.  Perfect!   No more post-flight belly polishing.

I've had mine for about 3 months - long enough to know that the watch is truly useful.  It can be purchased on-line at www.globalassistive.com/pilots.html
