Center required me to go to 12,500 feet out of Carson City for following to Page AZ. 2/3 of the way there the radio just got more and more static till I couldn’t read center any longer. A commercial airliner had to relay messages to / from me to center. The flight was nearly 3 hours and I attributed it to buildup over time at altitude. I’ve done nothing about it and haven’t had the experience again. Normal reception is in excess of 100 miles at higher altitudes. Jim … N95LJ. 360 underway.
