Hello Mark,
The neatest control locking device I've seen was in the Diamond Katana. (See attached diagrams from the POH).
It locks all controls together.
One end of the lock fits on the brake pedal axes while the other end (u-shaped) fits against the stick. Two nylon straps go around the stick and snap in receptacles located under the instrument panel. Adjustable nylon straps, and receptacles are of the type we see on good luggage.
Much less than a minute to install or remove. Light and easily transported to wherever you wish to stay over night...
