MERIDIAN PANEL INSTALLED IN PRODUCTION MODEL

The first fully completed and operational instrument panel has been
completed and installed in Malibu Meridian s/n 002. This panel encompasses
the most advanced integrated avionics system available in general aviation
today made available by the pioneering partnership of Piper, GARMIN, Meggitt
and S-TEC. Meridian's highly advanced flight instrumentation system
incorporates the optional Electronic Flight Display System (EFDS) consisting
of a Primary Flight Display (PFD) and a Navigation Display (ND) in the
pilot's and copilot's instrument panels. Both the PFD and ND utilize
advanced active matrix crystal displays that offer superior clarity and
sunlight readability. The engine indicating system consists of a Meggitt
Engine Instrument Display System (EIDS) which provides engine parameters and
fuel indications on two active matrix liquid crystal display panels. It also
features dual Garmin 530s* which includes GPS, NAV, COMM and moving map
display on a large, four-color active matrix LCD.

*Garmin 530s will be delivered and installed in the Meridian s/n 002 panel
in 4th quarter of 1999.
