John,
Sorry this took so long. (Note to self: Don't start a thread and then
ignore it).
I also use the Fujitsu Stylistic ST4121 Tablet PC. This is a pretty
much full featured machine (DVD or CD is external) and sunlight
readable.
The Radio Shack power connector is right angle, so yes,
it does not stay in as well as I would like. I also have more trouble
with the WxWorx receiver connecting Bluetooth than I do with the GPS.
Both, at times, drop the pairing value, but the WxWorx seems
to do it more often. WxWorx tech support tells me that all you should
have to do is start the WxWorx S/W and not care about the Bluetooth
part, but that only succeeds about 50% of the time. I use a CompUSA
USB "dongle" Bluetooth device and it may be part of the problem. I
will be buying a PCMCIA card Bluetooth device soon to reduce cockpit
clutter and the chance of the USB dongle falling out.
Does anyone know how to make WxWorx S/W display GPS data using nautical
rather than statute values?
BTW, ensure you have the Windows time and timezone set properly. I
messed those up on my recent trip to the East coast and it caused the
service to work on some products and not others so it did not dawn on
me that I had done something wrong. Tech support at WxWorx
straightened me out in a few minutes.
